NEWS RELEASE
2022
8th Annual International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IM2C)

We are pleased to announce the results of the eighth annual International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IM2C). There were 31 countries/regions invited to participate in the 2022 IM2C and after the national selection round, 58 teams competed in the international round of judging. All teams worked at their own schools during a 5 day period between March 2nd and May 7th, 2022. Each team was given a modeling problem and then constructed their solutions. This year’s problem Aboard! Boarding and Disembarking a Plane asked the teams to develop a model for the most time-effective plane boarding and disembarking methods.

A Complete Results Report, with designations for all participants, is available in portable document format (PDF).
