2016
2nd Annual International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IM2C)
We are pleased to announce the results of the second annual International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IM2C). There were 23 countries/regions invited to participate in the 2016 IM2C and after the national/regional selection round, 40 teams competed in the international round of judging. All teams worked at their own schools during a 5 day period between March 16th and May 9th, 2016. Each team was given a modeling problem
and then constructed their solutions. This year’s problem Record Insurance asked the teams to design a model for the effective planning for payments and insurance for record-breaking performances at a track and field meet.
A Complete Results Report, with designations for all participants, is available in portable document format (PDF).
