NEWS RELEASE
2024
10th Annual International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IM2C)

We are pleased to announce the results of the tenth annual International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IM2C). There were 36 countries/regions invited to participate in the 2024 IM2C and after the national selection round, 68 teams competed in the international round of judging. All teams worked at their own schools during a 5 day period between February 12th and April 29th, 2024. Each team was given a modeling problem and then constructed their solutions. This year's problem Picking the Perfect Pet asked the teams to develop a model to help develop a quantitatively focused approach to pet ownership that benefits both animals and humans.

A Complete Results Report sorted by team number, with designations for all participants, is available in portable document format (PDF).
