Countries & Regions: The IM²C Global Network

Mathematical modeling is a global language, and IM²C provides opportunities for students from diverse educational systems and cultures to engage with shared challenges through mathematics, data analysis, and collaborative problem solving.

IM²C is made possible through a network of regional organizers, educational institutions, sponsors and partners, and mathematics leaders who help bring mathematical modeling opportunities to students around the world.

Since its founding in 2014 IM²C has grown from 10 participating countries and regions to 54, creating a truly international community dedicated to mathematical modeling, collaboration, and problem solving. Today, students from across North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania participate in the competition through their local and regional organizations.

Building Global Connections

One of IM²C’s greatest strengths is its ability to connect students and educators across borders through a shared interest in mathematics and problem-solving.

Through regional competitions, international judging, and the International Summit, participants become part of a worldwide network dedicated to educational excellence, collaboration, and the application of mathematics to real-world challenges.

These connections foster cultural exchange, academic collaboration, and a broader understanding of how mathematical modeling can help address issues that affect communities around the globe.
